The Metal Structures Assemblers & Fitters Foreman is responsible for supervising assembly teams on industrial, construction, shipbuilding, and manufacturing projects. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate teams of metal structure assemblers and fitters on-site.
• Organize daily work schedules and assign tasks to team members.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans, and project documentation.
• Supervise the assembly and installation of steel structures and metal components.
• Ensure work is completed according to project deadlines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Inspect completed work and resolve technical or assembly issues when necessary.
• Coordinate activities with project managers, engineers, welders, and other subcontractors.
• Monitor material usage and report any shortages or delays.
• Train, support, and motivate team members to maintain high productivity and workmanship.
• Maintain accurate progress reports and communicate project updates to management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Metal Structures Assembler & Fitter with previous foreman or team leader experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication documentation.
• Excellent knowledge of steel structure assembly and installation methods.
• Leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage teams and work under project deadlines.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Good communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).
• Willingness to work on international projects and rotational schedules.
